ARMED ROBBERY – LENEXA, KS

On 5/9/17, at approximately 7:20 p.m., a suspect stated he wanted to look at chains for himself. He requested to see multiple items, but was informed that store policy allowed only one item to be shown at a time. The suspect then said he left his wallet in the car. He exited the store. At that point, the employees activated store monitoring. The suspect returned and asked to see a high-end watch. After looking at the watch, he exited.

The security company monitoring the store called the police to do a wellness drive by. The suspect then returned to the store, lifted his shirt and showed the sales associates a gun in his waistband.  He said, “I have a gun and I’m taking this stuff.” He then took a bracelet and necklace. At that point the suspect fled into a newer model black Nissan Altima. The police arrived 90 seconds after the suspect left.

The suspect was described as a White male in his mid 20’s. He is 5’9” and weighs 140 pounds. He has a long scar down the left side of his face. He also has a tattoo on his right upper forearm. He has a buzz cut and was last seen wearing blue jeans, Timberland boots and a blue and white plaid shirt.
