DISTRACTION THEFT – DAYTON, OH

On 11/16/17, at approximately 3:30 p.m., two suspects walked into a jewelry store. One of the suspects asked to have his ring cleaned. They then asked to see diamond earrings. The sales associate proceeded to open the case, which slides out onto the sales floors. After the associate opened the case, one of the suspects put his hand in the case and ‘palmed’ an item. The associate did not see the suspect palm the item. Both suspects were described as Black males. The first suspect is a 45-year-old male. He is 6’2″ and weighs 240 pounds. He has a round face and wrinkles around his eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie. He stated his name was Mike Davis. The second suspect is a 30-year-old Black male. He is 6’3″ and weighs 240 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a red colored hoodie that was underneath a black jacket.
