Distraction Thieves

On the date listed above, this subject along with his accomplice, featured below, committed a distraction theft.

The female subject requested to see items. She asked for the opinion of both sales associates. At that point, the sales associates began assisting the subject. The associates had their backs turned to an unsecured open backroom.

Approximately two minutes after the female subject began conversing with the associates, a male subject entered the store and walked into the unsecured back room. The male subject discovered that the store’s safe was open. He then proceeded to remove $84,000 in merchandise that was in the safe. After concealing the items, he signaled to his female accomplice before exiting the store. After the female subject received the signal, she began tapping on the showcase glass to maintain the associates attention as the male subject walked out of the store.

The female subject then left the store shortly after the male subject. After leaving the mall, both subjects were observed entering the same vehicle.

The theft was not discovered until the following day, when the manager noticed the items were missing from the safe.

The male subject is described as Black and in his late 30’s to mid 40’s. He is approximately 5’10” tall and has a heavy build. He has a small dark mustache and a patch of hair on his chin. He has a wide nose and was last seen wearing a blue patterned polo shirt with a navy collar and left chest pocket. He also wore blue jeans with tan dress shoes and boots.

The female subject is White and and has brown hair with blonde highlights. She has a thin build and is approximately 5’6″ tall. She was last seen wearing a gray v-neck long sleeve shirt with blue jean cuffed capris. She also wore tan and black sandals with a large dark gemstone necklace. She was carrying a black purse.
