On April 26, 2018, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland announced that Stanislav “Steven” Yelizarov’s 20-year sentence would run consecutively to a 30-year sentence he is currently serving. The 30-year sentenced was a result of Yelizarov’s role in a jewelry store heist, carjacking, kidnapping and home invasion that occurred between 2012 and 2013. Yelizarov’s was sentenced to 20 years for killing a jewelry store owner during a robbery in 2009.
