International Jewel Thief Arrested

Collier County, FL – On October 11, 2017, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agreed to extradite Nikola Anghel to Collier County, FL to face theft charges.

Anghel is accused of taking $13,000 in jewelry from a jewelry store on February 24, 2017. During that incident, Anghel inquired about several items and was interested in buying them. As an employee was occupied, Anghel removed jewelry items that were bagged.

He then told the employee he was short on money and he had to go to the bank to get the money.

He has committed other thefts in the United Kingdom and Romania.
