Wanted for Grab & Run

December 18, 2017 - West Hartford, CT

At approximately 7:29 p.m. on the date listed above, the subject featured above entered a jewelry store holding a business card. He requested to see a specific sales associate he conversed with on December 12, 2017.

On December 12, he said he was interested in engagement rings, however he left the store without making a purchase and without incident. On December 18, the subject inquired about loose diamonds. He said he wanted to find a pendant that would match the engagement ring he planned on buying.

The sales associate removed loose diamonds and placed them on a plunger and then a presentation pad. Once the items were on the pad, the subject removed the two diamonds, placed them in his coat pocket and then fled from the store.  The subject was described as a 30-year-old Black male. He is 5’10” and weighs 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket with black pants.
