SMASH AND GRAB – PORTAGE, MI

On 8/30/18, at approximately 8:30 p.m., three subjects entered a jewelry store and ordered the associates to get on the floor. The subjects wore hoodies. One of the subjects stayed at the front entrance, while the other two subjects went directly to the case containing loose diamonds. One subject began hitting the case with a small sledgehammer until they were able to breach the case. The subjects then fled from the store.
