GRAB AND RUN – HOUSTON, TX

On 1/5/19, at approximately 12:57 p.m., a subject entered a jewelry store and stated that he had been looking around and that he was ready to pick out A ring. The sales associate presented the subject with a few styles when the subject said, “let’s pick out the diamond and then we can find a setting.” The sales associate showed him a 1-carat loose diamond, but the subject requested to see the one next to it. The associate returned the 1-carat diamond and then presented the 1.5-carat loose diamond. The subject grabbed it out of the associate’s hand and then fled from the store. The subject was described as a black male with a medium build. He is 5’8” and was last seen wearing a green colored thermal vest and baggy pants.
