GRAB & RUN – NATIONAL CITY, CA

On 6/9/21, at approximately 8:45 p.m., two subjects entered a jewelry store. The first male subject asked to see a chain. After a few minutes, a second male subject joined the first subject. After trying on one chain, the first subject indicated he wanted solid and 14k gold. After recovering and placing the first chain back in the case, the second subject kept asking if they had heavier gold and insisted on trying on a chain. The first subject then stated, “I won’t steal” and asked “are you scared of me”, in which the team member replied “no”. The first subject indicated he wanted to buy a chain, so he needs to try it on. While the team member was checking the price of a chain, The first subject asked if he can feel the weight and then immediately grabbed it from the team member and stated “this is mine now, it’s my birthday” and ran out of the store with the second subject.

The first subject is a Black Male. He is believed to be 23 years old, approximately 6’1″, and has a medium build. He was last seen wearing faded blue denim jeans with sneakers. The second subject is also a Black male. He is believed to be 23 years old. He is approximately 5’11”, with a bit of a heavier build. He was last seen wearing basketball shorts and slippers. Both subjects were wearing matching white sweatshirts with “FRIENDS” printed on the front side of the sweatshirts.
