On the date listed above, at approximately 2:50 p.m., a lone male subject entered a jewelry store. The subject claimed to be interested in purchasing a specific brand of watch. After the presentation, the team member brought two of the watches to the register. The watch that was later found to be stolen, was placed on the counter next to the register while the team member held the other watch.
The team member began processing the sale transaction. At that point, the subject picked up the watch from the counter, then put it down closer to him. He then tried on the watch the team member was holding and walked away to look in a mirror. The team member followed the subject to the mirror, leaving behind the watch on the counter. The subject walked back to the counter and picked up the watch.  He then concealed the watch in the front pocket of his shirt. The team member, unaware of the theft, completed the sale for the watch the subject tried on.
The subject was described as a 5’7″ White male in his 60’s. He was last seen wearing glasses. He has a heavy build and a tattoo on his wrist. Please contact the Jewelers’ Security Alliance at jsa2@jewelerssecurity.org 0r 212-687-0328 if you have any information regarding this subject.
