On 5/28/22, at approximately 3:10 p.m., a jewelry store was the victim of a smash and grab robbery. Two males entered the location and were greeted by a team member. Shortly after, the team member was suspicious and walked toward the second team member. At that time, the male, wearing a construction vest, removed a hammer from a bag he was carrying. The male began smashing the showcase. Both team members ran out of the store through the back door. After penetrating the glass, both males reached in and stole gold chains and bracelets. They then ran out of the front door. Police were contacted. The males were captured shortly after, in addition to two other males. The merchandise was recovered and is currently being held by police as evidence.
