BURGLAR SHOT TRYING TO EVADE POLICE – SUNSET VALLEY, TX

On 7/29/18, at approximately 4:00 a.m., a 25-year-old man identified as Marc-Antoine Carillo attempted to burglarize a jewelry store. Police responded to the glass break alarm around 4 a.m. When an officer arrived on scene he saw a broken glass door and a male subject leaving the jewelry store. The officer shouted commands at Carillo, but Carillo did not comply. The officer then pulled out his taser in an attempt to stop Carillo. That did not work either. Carillo then entered into his car. As Carillo reversed, he dragged the police officer. At that point, the officer pulled out his gun and shot Carillo in the elbow. Carillo was eventually arrested up the road by Travis County deputies.
