BURGLARY – BAKERSFIELD, CA

On 1/13/22, at approximately 9 a.m., as team members approached a jewelry kiosk, they observed cases 2 and 3 were broken into from the front of the cases.  The team members could visibly see that merchandise had been stolen from case 3.  Case 2 was smashed in, but no items were missing from this case.  Based on their video review, mall security reported two subjects dressed in all black with dark masks, approached the kiosk at 4:35 a.m., whereupon subject #1 smashed into case 3 as subject #2 began to remove various gold items.

Subject #1 then smashed into case 2 but unsuccessfully gained access.  After approximately two minutes, both subjects fled the scene where they entered a white-colored vehicle driven by a third subject.  Mall security recovered multiple jewelry items from near the kiosk and in the parking lot that were dropped by the subjects as they fled.

Both subjects were described as light-skinned males, that are possibly white or Hispanic. The first subject wore a black hoodie, black pants, dark mask, and had a slim/medium build. The second subject was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, black pants, and a dark mask. He has a medium to heavy build. If you have any information regarding these subjects, please contact the Jewelers’ Security Alliance at jsa2@jewelerssecurity.org or 212-687-0328.
