On 04/21/24, at 5:30 p.m. a subject entered a jewelry store and asked to see several diamond fashion rings to compare them. An employee mentioned she is only able to show one and held the ring on her finger to show the subject. The subject then asked if the necklaces in the corner cabinet came together, then asked if he is able to try on the diamond ring that the employee was holding. When the subject was presented with the ring, he ran away with it, holding up his pants as he ran.

Subject Description: Male, Black, 20 years old, wearing a black Ralph Lauren hoodie with a bear on the front, ripped jeans, black and white tennis shoes, and white framed dark sunglasses that he dropped to his mouth while talking to the employee.
