DIAMOND SWITCH – SANTA CLARA, CA

On 7/29/21, at approximately 3:15 p.m., a female subject approached a jewelry store and requested to view diamond rings.  A ring was removed from the showcase and shown to the subject.  The associate was then approached at the same time by two other unknown males, though both only stayed at the store for a few seconds.  The female subject then handed back a ring to the associate and stated she needed to “go get her ID.”  The female then walked away quickly and met up with the two unknown males, as the three exited the mall together.  The associate then noticed that the diamond ring returned to her had been swapped out by the female subject.  A physical description of the males was not provided. The female subject was described as having a lighter complexion. She is in her early 20’s and is 5’4″. She has a thin build and was last seen wearing a multi-colored scarf around her head. She also wore a grey facemask, a black jacket, black pants, and black sandals.
