DISTRACTION THEFT – CARSON, CA

On 6/27/20, at approximately 1:25 p.m., a sales associate assisted a family in viewing watches. The husband selected a watch that he was interested in purchasing. The subject agreed to complete a credit application. As the credit application was being processed, the subject removed the watch from the counter pad and placed it in his pocket. A short time later, the husband and wife were in proximity to each other. It is believed that the husband passed the watch to his wife. The subject then requested to view the watch again. A brief conversation about the location of the watch then took place. During the discussion, the wife and her two children exited the store. The husband exited shortly after them.

The male and female are Hispanic. The male is 6’1” and weighs 230 lbs. He is approximately 40-years-old and has tattoos. His wife is 5’5” and weighs 190 lbs. She is approximately 40-years-old and she also has tattoos. The couple had two children; a male and female that were approximately 17-years-old. The 17-year old female is 5’5” and weighs 180 lbs.
