DISTRACTION THEFT – ESTERO, FL

After conducting case counts on 1/23/23, team members realized they were missing three gold chains. Review of CCTV showed that on 1/19/23, an unidentified couple came into the store around 3:30 p.m. and were greeted and they stated they were just looking at Movado watches. They looked around for several minutes before leaving the store. At 3:50 p.m., they came back into the store and proceeded to look around. They were asked by another team member if they needed help, however, they said they were just looking and proceeded to pretend they didn’t speak English. At 4:04 p.m., while the team members were helping other guests, the subjects are observed at the gold case where they used a thin hook like tool to pull 3 chains from the case and then proceed to immediately leave the store

There was no specific damage to the cases, it appears the case was accessed by placing the tool between the glass frame and the drawer. The following subject descriptions were provided: Hispanic Female, mid 30s to 40s, last seen wearing a plain blue shirt, and matching plain blue baseball hat. She also wore a black handbag and wore sunglasses in her hand. Hispanic male, mid 40s, last see wearing a grey plain shirt with blue jeans. He had his hands in pocket at all times with matching grey baseball hat.
