DISTRACTION THEFT – GRAND JUNCTION, CO

– On 5/12/16, at approximately 6:40 p.m., two females came into a store together. One of the women expressed interest in gold chains for her husband. The sales associate removed a tray of gold chains and presented several pieces to the woman. The woman chose the items she wanted and was taken to the register. The sales associate brought pieces to the register and turned his back for a moment. At that point, one of the suspects removed the chain and bracelets. She then stated she would return with cash. Later during evening counts, sales associates realized three pieces of jewelry were missing. The first suspect is a 5’2” Hispanic Female in her mid 30’s. She is 250 pounds and has long hair dyed purple in a ponytail. She has a gold tooth and wore a black shirt with “Las Vegas” on it. She also wore dark blue jeans and dark tennis shoes. The second suspect was a Hispanic female in her mid 60’s. She is 5’0 tall, weighs 250 pounds and has dark brown hair. She also wore dark t-shirt and dark jeans.
