DISTRACTION THEFT – JACKSONVILLE, FL

On 7/31/18, at approximately 6:34 p.m., two female subjects entered a retail jewelry store and inquired about gold chains. The women claimed they needed to buy them for a wedding. At one point, the sales associate became suspicious of the women and called over her manager. The manager placed two chains in the showcase, however, one chain was overlooked. One of the subjects slid the chain towards herself and palmed it. The subjects removed cash from their wallets to assuage the manager’s suspicion.

The subjects were described as two Hispanic females with medium builds. The first subject was described as 5’6 and in her late 30’s. She was last seen wearing a long floral dress and a brown hat. The second subject is 5’5” and was last seen wearing a long greenish blue skirt and a white shirt with a black hat.
