DISTRACTION THEFT – LUTZ, FL

While doing inventory counts on 2/12/23, the Team Leader identified that over $149 gold category was missing 2 pieces. A case listing showed that the missing items were two 24” Gold chains with a total value of $2178.00. A review of CCTV showed that on 2/12/23 at 3:24 pm, an unidentified male and female subject were at the gold case by themselves while all the team members were occupied with other guests. The male was seen making a motion towards the belt area of his pants and using an unidentified tool to gain access to a small open area in the seams of the cases. The female subject is seen blocking the male’s body while he inserts the tool into the seams. After access is gained the two subjects exit the store. A report was filed with the Pasco County Sheriff for further investigation.

The male subject is Hispanic and between 35-40 Years old. He is 5″8″ and weighs 180 lbs. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, and a grey long-sleeve sweatshirt. The female subject was described as Hispanic. She is between 35-40 years old. She is 160 lbs, and she was last seen wearing a baseball cap, and a long-sleeved grey sweater jacket.
