DISTRACTION THEFT – MARLBOROUGH, MA

On 6/28/16, at approximately 1:10 p.m., three male subjects requested to see gold chains. The sales associate presented a chain to each subject separately. According to the sales associate, she turned away to answer the store phone. When she turned back one of the subjects was holding all of the chains together which he then handed to the sales associate. The subjects tried to purchase one of the chains but their card was declined. The subjects left claiming they would return with cash. After the subjects left, the sales associate discovered that one of the chains presented to one of the subjects was missing. The first subject is described as an African American male. He is 5’6, 19-years old and has a thin build and black hair. He wore a baseball cap, black t-shirt and jeans. The second subject is an African American male. He is 5’5 and 24-years-old. He has a medium build, black hair and wore a NY baseball cap, black t-shirt and jeans. The third subject is a white male. He is 5’5 and 22-years-old. He has a medium build and short red hair.
