DISTRACTION THEFT – PENNSDALE, PA

On 11/30/17, at approximately 10:42 a.m., a male and female suspect walked directly to a gold chain spinner. The male suspect left the store and then re-entered He diverted two sales associates attention so their backs were toward the gold spinner. Meanwhile, the female suspect used a ‘created key’ to unlock the spinner and remove several gold chains. She placed the chain in her coat and then locked the spinner. The manager heard the spinner close and turned around. The manager asked for the merchandise back. At that point, the male suspect exited the store. The female removed 5 gold chains from her pocket and then handed them to the manager. She accidentally dropped the key she used to open the spinner. The suspects did take four chains.
