DISTRACTION THEFT – ROSEVILLE, MS

On 12/26/20, at approximately 4:00 pm, a male subject entered a jewelry store along with two female subjects to look at gold chains. The male subject stated his name was Johnny. He claimed that he just bought a chain from another retailer and wanted to compare it to the current store’s men’s gold chains. During the presentation, he requested to see a heavy two-tone chain but decided he didn’t want that chain. He then tried on a 22” gold curb link chain and placed it back on the showcase.

The Hispanic female subject also  asked about a second gold chain to compare with the one he had previously purchased from the other retailer. At that point, the Hispanic female balled the chain above in her hand and concealed it in her purse. The three subjects discussed other chains and pricing for several minutes before leaving the store with the chain.

The male subject is Black, 5’10” and weighs 220 lbs. He is in his mid 30’s. He was last seen wearing a black hat, a grey hoodie and jeans. The Hispanic female is 5’3” and in her mid 30’s. She was last seen wearing a black coat with a grey hoodie underneath and jeans. The second female subject is Black, 5’8” and weighs 200 lbs. She is in her mid 50’s. She was last seen wearing a red beanie, a grey winter vest, with a long sleeve red shirt and jeans.
