DISTRACTION THEFT – SPRINGFIELD, PA

On 6/26/2021, a male subject approached a jewelry kiosk in a mall at approximately 3:38 p.m. and asked to see a 14k gold plated diamond pendant. A different customer approached and asked for something behind the counter, they were denied and when the associate looked back at the counter the pendant that the customer was viewing was gone. The original customer blamed the man who approached asking a question during the interaction, then proceeded to walk away and follow them. The original customer returned minutes later shaking his head and proceeded to walk out of the front door with a woman. Both customers in question were seen leaving the mall shortly after the incident. No description of the subjects was provided, if you have any information regarding this incident, please contact the Jewelers’ Security Alliance at 212-687-0328 or jsa2@jewelerssecurity.org.
