Wanted Distraction Theft Subjects

November 27, 2017 - Sandusky, OH

On the date listed above, at approximately 2:15 p.m., the two suspects featured below perpetrated a distraction theft.

After asking to see a ring, the suspects requested to see earrings. The sales associate took out the earrings and then handed one of the suspects the earrings that were still inside of a box. One of the suspect’s took the box and put it up to his ears. When the other suspect asked the sales associate a question, the suspect with the earrings took a box of fake earrings out of his hat and replaced them with the store’s earrings.

He then returned the fake earrings to the sales associate. The associate put the fake earrings into the showcase without checking them. The suspects then left the store.

One of the suspects was described as a 45-year-old male. He is 5’10” tall. He wore bleached town jeans and a dark gray shirt with tan boots and a toboggan hat.

The second suspect was described as 5’10”. He was last seen wearing dark clothing and black pants.
