DISTRACTION THEFT – WOODBRIDGE, NJ

On 3/17/22, at approximately 6:00 p.m., two subjects entered a jewelry store. They began looking at men’s wedding bands and asked to see a ring from one case. While the case was opened, one of the subjects distracted the sales associate by asking to see something from the next case down. While the sales associate turned her back, the second subject reached around and into the case and removed a ring. Once the theft was complete, both subjects were no longer interested in looking and quickly left the store. The theft was not discovered until case counts were completed on 3/21/22 and investigation completed on 3/25/22.

Both subjects are White males. The first subject is approximately 50 years old, bald, and has a touch of white/gray hair on the sides. He is about 5’8” with a pudgy belly. He was last seen wearing a yamika on his head, a black mask on his chin, a dark jacket, a grey shirt, and blue jeans. He possibly has a middle eastern accent. The second subject is approximately 30-35 years old, He has brown hair and was last seen wearing glasses. He is about 5’9” with a medium build.
