Former employee charged with 10 felonies

Statesville, NC – On September 8, 2021, deputies from the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office were informed that an employee of a business could be stealing jewelry.

After interviewing employees and witnesses from the business, deputies acquired evidence showing that jewelry was stolen. The owner of the store suspected employee Jennie Hedrick was the culprit.

Detectives determined Hedrick was selling stolen jewelry to businesses in Salisbury and Statesville, N.C. between May 1 and September 7, 2021. Jennie Hedrick was charged with eight counts of felony larceny by an employee and two counts of felony obtaining property by false pretenses. She was arrested on September 16.
