GLASS LIFT DISTRACTION – ELIZABETH, NJ

On 12/3/22, after 5:50 p.m., a retail jewelry store reported that they found a wire on the salesfloor by the gold showcase. It was discovered that access was gained into the right side of the showcase by pulling the corner of the glass and using the wire with loops to pull out four chains. Surveillance video was reviewed and showed two male subjects and a female subject at that showcase. The group used each other along with shopping bags to disguise their activity. Elizabeth Police were called and responded to take a report. The subjects’ descriptions are below:

Subject 1: Black male, late 20’s to early 30’s, 5’10”, black puffer jacket, tan ballcap.

Subject 2: Black male, early 30’s, black jacket, grey ballcap, carrying shopping bags.

Subject 3: Black female, late 20’s, Tan jacket, shoulder-length hair.
