GRAB AND RUN – ATLANTA, GA

On 3/30/19, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a male subject entered a jewelry store and began looking at diamond rings. The subject appeared to be conversing with someone on the phone who was describing a specific type of diamond he should inquire about. The subject first asked to see a loose diamond and semi-mount. Then the male inquired about a credit application. As the sales associate turned to get her tablet, the subject grabbed the loose carat diamond and fled from the store. He dropped the diamond but fled the store with the setting. The subject was described as a Black male in his early 30’s. He has braids and was last seen wearing black jeans, a white long sleeve shirt with sneakers and a ball cap.
