GRAB AND RUN – CLEVELAND, OH

On 5/12/22, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a jewelry store was the victim of a grab-and-run theft.  According to management, a single subject entered the store and asked to look at a bracelet and then stated that he would like to use his account for half of the purchase.  The bracelet was placed onto his wrist and then he stated that he wanted to also look at a necklace.  The employee stated that he couldn’t be in possession of two pieces at a time, so they proceeded to the register to process the sale. As the merchandise was placed on the register, and the sale was being processed, the subject immediately grabbed the necklace from the register and fled the store with both pieces.  The subject was seen getting into an older model red coupe-style car. The subject is a Black Male in his late 20’s. He is 6’3″ and has a medium build. He has a tribal tattoo on his neck and he was last seen wearing green scrubs and black shoes. If you have any information regarding this subject, please contact the Jewelers Security Alliance at jsa2@jewelerssecurity.org .
