GRAB AND RUN – HUMBLE, TX

On 8/22/18, at approximately 1:45 p.m., a subject entered a jewelry store and asked to see an engagement ring for his girlfriend. The subject said he had a $3,000 budget and he wanted the ring to be big and flashy. He asked to try it on and said his finger “kind of” matched the size of his girlfriend’s finger. After the ring was on his finger, a loud noise was heard as if someone dropped something on the floor or banged something against the wall. The subject then fled from the store. It is believed the loud sound was a signal for the subject to leave.

The subject was described as a 20-year-old Black male. He is 5’7″ and he was last seen wearing a red bandanna covered by a black baseball cap. He also wore a white t-shirt with blue jeans and a long sleeve jacket over it. He has a tattoo of an “X” or a cross circled by a swirl design wrapped around the right side of his neck that seemed to go toward his right shoulder. If you have any information regarding this subject, please call the Jewelers’’ Security Alliance at 212-687-0328.
