On 3/22/23, at approximately 7:15 p.m., a retail jewelry store was the victim of a grab and run theft. A lone male entered the store at closing time under the pretense of shopping for an engagement ring. He was in the store earlier and stated his name was James. The subject stated he was looking for a bridal set of $10,000 or more. He was presented with different bridal set options. He was then shown diamond rings and wraps as another idea. The subject selected the 2ct diamond solitaire and a diamond rose gold wrap to take a picture of. Once he gained possession of both pieces, the subject fled the store. The subject was described as a Black male with a dark complexion. He is believed to be in his late 30’s or 40’s. He is 6’4″, and has a thin build. He weighs approximately 160 lbs. He was last seen wearing a dark hat, denim jacket, gloves, a mask, dark baggy pants, and Air Jordan tennis shoes.
