GRAB AND RUN – MEDINA, OH

On 2/28/22, at approximately 5:36 p.m., a retail jewelry store was the victim of a grab and run theft.  According to management, a single male subject entered the location and asked to see 2 ct. diamond stud earrings.  The subject was shown 2 ct. lab created earrings and stated he did want those.  He then asked to see 1.5ct diamond stud earrings.  As the component was being pulled from the display case, he grabbed the entire component from the employee’s hand and ran from the store.  The employee immediately went to the office and hit the silent alarm and the Medina Police Department responded and a report was filed.  No injuries were reported. The subject was described as Black and in his early 20s. He is 6’0″ and has a thin build. He was last seen wearing blue scrubs, a black jacket, and a blue knit cap. The subject from this theft matches the description of the subject from a similar theft at a jewelry store in Columbus, OH.
