GRAB AND RUN – TOPEKA, KS

On 9/15/18, at approximately 8:40 p.m., a male and female couple entered a jewelry store and inquired about earrings. As the female subject examined a pair of earrings, she then asked to see a pair of round diamond studs. As the items were being exchanged, the female subject held the pair of diamond studs up to her ear and then pointed at a diamond necklace in another showcase.

 

When the sales associate turned her head towards that showcase, the male subject began talking to the associate about her tattoo on her leg. The female subject then turned and quickly walked out of the store with diamond earrings. The female subject was described as a 50-year-old Black woman. She is 5’2” and weighs 110 lbs. She has a thin build and was last seen wearing a black slicked back pixie haircut. The male subject is also Black and in his late 50’s. He is 5’8” and weighs 150 lbs. He has a thin build.
