GRAB AND RUN – WOOSTER, OH

On 8/7/22, at approximately 5:00 p.m., a retail jewelry store was the victim of a grab and theft. According to management, a single male subject entered the location after he was previously at another jewelry store in Ashland, Ohio, and left without taking anything. The subject stated that he was looking for a man’s wedding band. The employee then asked for his phone number to look up his profile. The subject stated that he didn’t have one and asked to see the Men’s 1ct Diamond Ring.

The employee stated that she asked to see his driver’s license. The subject failed to comply and asked the employee “if I step back can you show it to me”. As soon as the employee pulled the ring from the case, the subject lunged forward and grabbed the ring, and fled the store on foot. The subject was described as a 40-year-old Black male. He was also described as having a gray beard with a clean shave. He is 6’2″ and has an athletic build. He was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt, blue shorts, and pink/purple tennis shoes.
