On 9/15/21, at approximately 4:00 p.m., a male subject entered a jewelry store and was greeted by a team member. The subject wanted to see engagement rings up to 2 carats and was taken to the solitaire case. There the subject was shown a couple of items but was undecided. The subject was then taken to the closeout case and shown a couple of items but was still undecided so he was taken back to the solitaire case. A diamond ring was placed on a presentation pad for the subject and he leaned over and palmed it and then put it in his pocket. At this point, the team member stated she wanted the ring back and would not remove any other merchandise until the ring was returned. The subject denied having the ring and eventually left the store with the item The police were called and a report was filed. The subject is Black and in his 30’s. He weighs 160 lbs., and is 6’2″ tall. He has dreadlocks and wore a black shirt and grey jeans. He also wore a blue disposable mask.
