On 10/25/21, at approximately 6:10 p.m., a lone male subject entered a retail jewelry store and requested to look at men’s jewelry. After looking at a few items, the subject requested to look at a necklace. While the team member was discussing the chain, the subject grabbed the display, containing the chain, from the team member and ran from the store. Mall security and the Suffolk County Police were notified. Prior to this incident, the subject committed a grab and run theft at another jewelry store at a mall in Garden City, NY. The subject was described as Hispanic, approximately 19-years-old, with a thin build, wearing a Nike burgundy jacket with a Barcelona soccer team logo, a hood, and a cap covering his head. He also wore grey sweatpants and white sneakers. If you have any information regarding this subject, please contact the Jewelers’ Security Alliance at or 212-687-0328.
