On 9/9/20, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a subject entered a jewelry store and said he had been to the store previously. He said he was set up on progressive leasing. He asked to see a gold cross and the sales associate showed it to him. The subject later realized the chain with the cross was gold plated. He then asked if he could see a gold chain that he pointed out. A sales associate asked for the cross back and the subject said “well how am I supposed to buy it if I can’t try it on?” The sales associate then handed him the chain and the subject fled the store with the merchandise. The subject was described as a Black male in his late 20’s. He is 5’10” and has a thin build. He wore a light colored mask, a black t-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.
