GUNPOINT SMASH AND GRAB – SAN ANTONIO, TX

On 4/12/18, at approximately 8:00 p.m., five subjects committed an armed robbery at a store that sells jewelry. Shortly before 8:00 p.m., one subject entered the store with a pistol. He ordered an employee down to the floor at gunpoint. Subject #1 was followed into the store by Subject #2 and Subject #3, who was armed with a rifle. Subject #4 and #5 then entered the store moments later.

After all employees were ordered to the ground, the subjects split up. Two of the subjects went to jewelry display cases and began to break into the cases.  They then removed jewelry from the cases and placed the merchandise into a black bag. The subjects then demanded the manager open the safe. The manager was forced to take out jewelry and place them into a bag. One of the subjects then told the manager if he saw any police he would shoot everyone in the store. The subjects took hundreds of pieces of jewelry.

Four subjects responsible for this robbery were arrested following a police investigation. Those arrested include; 40-year-old Daniel Ray Rodriguez, 22-year-old Daniel Ray Rodriguez, Jr., 24-year-old Xavier Noel Musquiz and 36-year-old Cesar Rodriguez. 22-year-old Martin Ramirez Hernandez is still at large If you have any information regarding his whereabouts, please contact the Jewelers’ Security Alliance at 212-687-0328.
