MAN BELIEVED TO BE LOOTER SHOT DEAD DURING RIOT – MINNEAPOLIS, MN

On 5/27/20, at approximately 9:05 p.m., a jewelry pawn shop owner shot and killed a man he said was looting his business. A 59-year-old man was booked into the Hennepin County Jail on suspicion of committing the shooting. The jewelry store is located approximately 10 blocks away from the 3rd Minneapolis Police Precinct, which was a site where protesters and rioters converged outside.
