Second suspect arrested for attempted murder!

April 20, 2020 - Live Oak, FL

On the date listed above, at approximately 12:39 p.m., a male and female subject entered a pawn shop wearing masks. After a few minutes, the male subject brandished a gun and then shot the store’s owner.

The female subject then proceeded to smash a display case and remove jewelry. Suwannee County Sheriff Sam St. John said, “There was no real confrontation, he just all of a sudden started opening fire on the clerk and the other one grabbed the jewelry. She grabbed what she could and they took off.” The owner of the pawn shop is in stable condition and he is expected to make a full recovery.

Before the robbery, the subjects were dropped off near the crime scene by a 2016-2019 Nissan Sentra. They were then picked up after the robbery. Update:

On April 28, 2020, the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest of 32-year-old Jermar Tillie for the robbery and attempted murder of the pawn shop owner. Click here to learn more about Tillie’s arrest.

On May 3, 2020, Suwannee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 35-year-old Victoria Fender. She is charged with robbery and attempted murder.
