ROBBER THREW INCENDIARY DEVICE – VENTURA, CA

On 5/23/18, 2018, at approximately 11:00 a.m., a subject entered a jewelry store and threw an incendiary device into the store which exploded into flames. The device burnt the surrounding carpet and left acid and burn marks. The explosion led to a small fire, which was put out by store employees. The FBI, Fire Investigators, the Sheriff’s Bomb Squad and other agencies responded to the scene. The subject was apprehended by a Ventura police officer and will face charges of arson and felony vandalism.
