SMASH AND GRAB – FENTON, MI

On 5/18/18, at approximately 2:15 p.m., a male and female subject entered a jewelry store and asked to see diamond engagement rings. The sales associate asked the couple what diamond shape they were looking for. The female subject responded by describing the color and clarity she sought; SI 1, rather than the shape. A third subject; a male, then entered the store. At that point, the two male subjects revealed hammers and began smashing display cases. As the men smashed the cases, the female subject grabbed jewelry and put it in her purse. The male subjects also removed jewelry, placing it into the female’s purse and into their own cargo pants. The subjects fled in a black Dodge Charger.

The first subject was described as a 6’2” black male. He has a medium complexion and an athletic build. He also has scruffy facial hair and is in his mid-twenties. He was last seen wearing a gray Under Armour shirt, black cargo pants and a black doo-rag or beanie on his head. The female subject was described as Black and in her early twenties. She is 5’6” and has a medium complexion. She was last seen wearing a black shirt with two white stripes down each sleeve. She also wore dark pants and a burgundy head wrap. The third subject is a Black male believed to be in his mid-twenties. He was last seen wearing a white ball cap, dark shirt and cream colored cargo pants.
