On 6/14/18, at approximately 6:00 p.m., two subjects entered a jewelry store and inquired about “Cuban Link” chains and men’s jewelry. The subjects then stated they were interested in high-end watches. The store’s sales associate told the subjects that they were not able to sell a watch without scheduling an appointment with a timepiece specialist. The associate then made the appointment for the following day. One of the subjects then pulled out a mallet from under his shirt. He proceeded to smash the display cases containing watches. The subject with the mallet reached into the case and then grabbed watches. Both men then fled from the store. If you have any information regarding these subjects, please call the Jewelers’ Security Alliance at 212-687-0328.
