SMASH & GRAB – JOLIET, IL

On 10/9/19, at approximately 4:43 p.m., two male subjects entered a jewelry store and walked directly to a solitaire case. One of the subjects revealed a hammer from inside his jacket. He then smashed the display case. The subjects were in the store for 2 minutes. They took as many items as they could and then fled.� Approximately 20 minutes before the robbery, a male subject came into the store asking to see promise/engagement rings. He stated his budget was $10,000. It is believed the subject was part of the theft.

The three subjects were described as Black males in their 20’s. The casing subject is in his late 20’s. He was last seen wearing a t-shirt with blue jeans.� The second subject is in his mid 20’s. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with white stripes down the side and khaki pants with a red hat. The third subject is in his mid 20’s. He wore a gray hoodie with black pants.
