SMASH & GRAB – LAUREL, MD

On 3/15/2022, at 11:40 a.m., a male subject entered a jewelry store and proceeded to the diamond showcase. A team member asked if he needed assistance, and he stated he was looking. He then removed a hammer from a red backpack he carried into the store.  He smashed the showcase and removed multiple items from the case and fled the store on foot.  No injuries were reported. The subject is approximately 6’2″ and weighs 165 lbs. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a grey hoodie, a black mask and he was wearing gloves.
