SMASH & GRAB – MONROE, MI

On 7/1/19, at approximately 2:19 p.m., three subjects entered a jewelry store. The first subject carried a small orange suitcase. The second subject carried a black backpack. The third subject carried a pink backpack. The three subjects went to the display case containing certified diamond rings. The third subject smashed three display cases with a small red sledgehammer. The first and second subject removed merchandise from the display case. They placed the items into the bags they brought into the store. The third subject proceeded to turn around and smash two additional display cases before leaving. He took rings, pendants and earrings. At the 2 minutes and 30 seconds into the robbery, the subjects appeared to realize they had to leave. The subjects then fled in a burgundy Chevy Malibu.
