SMASH & GRAB SUSPECTS ARRESTED – COMMERCE TWP, MI

On 1/7/19, at approximately 7:00 p.m., two suspects committed a smash and grab robbery. The suspects were armed with an ax and a sledgehammer. They entered the store, broke display cases and then removed jewelry. The suspects then fled in a stolen car. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, however, the suspects continued to flee. They eventually went into the backyards of several neighborhood homes, hit a house and then stopped after crashing into a tree. The suspects were arrested and have been identified as 18-year-old Jajuan Profit and 17-year-old Raphael Simmons. Each suspect has been charged with armed robbery, resisting and obstruction.
