On 9/28/17, at approximately 5:45 p.m., an elderly couple asked a sales associate to look at a piece they previously viewed. The sales associate did not remember the couple and showed them several items before the male went to wait in the mall for the woman. The sales associate had several items out on the counter. The female put her hands in her lap outside of the view of the associate. She was able to conceal a ring without the associates knowledge. The suspect was then asked for her information to make a customer profile. The suspect provided her husband’s name and then quickly left the store. She was described as a 70-year-old Black female. She has long hair and was last seen wearing a camouflage shirt with pants, shorts and a hat. She has a gold tooth. She is 5’3” and weighs 200 lbs. If you have any information regarding this suspect’s identity, please call the Jewelers’ Security Alliance at (212) 687-0328.
