On 2/8/18, at approximately 2:02 p.m., a subject entered a jewelry store and inquired about a three stone engagement ring. The sales associate showed the subject several engagement rings. The subject then asked to see pendants and tennis bracelets. The subject picked out five different items that he wanted to purchase. The subject then asked the associate if he could take a picture of the all the items. The associate placed the five items on a counter pad and then walked away to get another item that the subject requested. At that moment, the subject took a ring and concealed it into his sweatshirt.

After the associate returned to the subject, he took the picture with his cell phone. He then conversed with the associate and manager. He told them to wrap all of the items up. He said that he had to get cash. The subject then walked out of the store and did not return. He was described as a White male in his mid 50’s. He is 5’7” and clean cut. He was last seen wearing a grey hat with a fish on it. He states that he has 12 to 15 thousand dollars to spend once he enters the store. He also stated his name was Richard.
